April 2016 Boca Grande Fort Myers Fishing Report
April 20, 2016Boca Grande Tarpon Fishing Report
March 17, 2017Tarpon fishing is in full swing with Boca Grande Pass full of big tarpon. With the exception of some weather issues 120-150lb fish are in order all day long and into the evening. The bite has been awesome with an average of 5-6 hookups per trip. I have been boating 1-3 fish per trip with one fish Sunday that easily topped the 170lb mark. The beach fishing for tarpon has been a little slow but there are still fish moving up and down the coast. The river up from San Carlos Pass has been on fire with lots of fish staying longer in that area. My prediction is pretty simple with the winter season starting late and lasting longer the tarpon fishing should be good in the Boca Grande Area and Charlotte Harbor late into the summer when the little Known August run of Silver Kings should be phenomenal.
I still have some availability for tarpon fishing please call if you want to get hooked on big fish.
